Hemkund
Shri Hemkund Sahib is one of the highest Gurudwaras in the world. The pentagonal Gurudwara, made of white marble, reflects beautifully in the crystal-clear glacial lake beside it.
A major highlight of this place is Hemkund Lake, where pilgrims take a holy dip despite the freezing temperatures. The nearby Lakshman Temple holds religious significance for Hindus.
The Guru Granth Sahib is recited daily inside the Gurudwara, and langar (community kitchen) is served to all devotees, despite the extreme altitude and conditions.
The Gurudwara is dedicated to Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru.
